Barlow, KY James B. Tanner, age 73, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at his home in Barlow, KY. He was born September 6, 1952, in Paducah, KY to his late parents, Hall and Francis Negley Tanner
He worked as a self-employed plumber for several years and was also employed by Local #184 out of Paducah, Murtco, BH&I Contractors, and Jimmy Hartig Plumbing. He attended Grace Church of LaCenter and enjoyed NASCAR, crappie fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by two sons, Blake Tanner of Barlow, KY and Zack Tanner (Courtney) of Barlow, KY; a brother, Freddie Tanner (Patti) of Barlow, KY; grandchildren, Lexi Toon (Zach) of Fancy Farm, KY and Lyssia Tanner of LaCenter, KY; nephew, Trent Tanner of LaCenter, KY and Francie Masters of Lexington, KY.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Tanner and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter after 11:00 a.m.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Baker officiating.
Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
