Krista Nicole Whitt

Kevil, KY Krista Nicole Whitt, age 30, passed away on Sunday, March 29. 2026. She was born on January 3, 1996, in Paducah, KY to Michael Whitt and Shannon (Wallace) Penrod.

Her present employment was at the Dollar General store in Kevil, KY.  Krista was a member of Fellowship Assembly of Jesus Christ in Paducah, Ky.  Krista enjoyed singing and spending time with her family especially her children.  Her smile would light up a room. Krista had a servant's heart and enjoyed doing for others.

Krista is survived by her father, Michael Whitt of Kevil, KY; mother, Shannon Penrod (Jaymie) of Kevil, KY; two daughters, Whitleigh Spraggs of Kevil, KY and Violet Leaddington of Kevil, KY grandparents, Beverly and Larry Larry Whitt of Sturgis, Michigan and Linda Wallace of Kevil, KY; two brothers, Logan Whitt (Liberty) of Arlington, KY and Bryan Penrod (Amber) of Cunningham, KY; three sisters, Jessie Penrod (Jasmine) of Bardwell, KY Taylor Whitt (Jason) of LaCenter, KY, Lexie Hack of Barlow, KY; nieces and nephews, Oakley, Kenslie, Espy, Stormi, Skylynn, Camden, Lokie and Colson. several cousins, bonus family and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kaylynn; grandfather, Alvin Wallace; her nanny, Sandra Love, four uncles, Darren Wallace, Paul Penrod, Dwight Penrod, and Gerald Penrod; bonus sister and lifelong friend, Sheree Skinner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. with Rev. Rocky Hill officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
