Marty Ray Brown

Kevil, KY Rev. Marty Ray Brown met his Savior Jesus Christ face to face Tuesday, December 6, 2022. 
He was born to his parents, Bobby Wayne and Joyce Elaine Walters Brown on January 1, 1962.  Thirty five years ago he married the love of his life, Debbie Borden Brown.

Marty was a man who always persevered in life and always wanted the Lord to be glorified through him.  He was a youth minister for six years of his career and thirty four years as a Pastor.  He pastored New Liberty Baptist in Brookport, Illinois, Oscar Baptist in Oscar, KY for seventeen years, Deer Creek Baptist Church in Marion, KY and retired from Newton Creek Baptist Church in Kevil.  Marty was a member of Newton Creek Baptist Church. Marty loved his family and adored his two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Brown of Kevil; a son, Joshua Brown of Kevil; a daughter Elizabeth (Curt) of Bandana, KY; two grandchildren, Ava Holbrook and Seth Holbrook of Bandana, KY; a brother Bobby Brown (Donna) of Abita Springs, Louisiana; mother in law, Mary Borden of Wickliffe, KY; sister in law, Kathy Gibson (Alan) of 
Wickliffe; four nieces, Erica Giacona, LA, Paige Magee of LA, Destiney Dishon of, LA and Jenna Wilson of Wickliffe, KY; a nephew, Madison Wilson (Malena) of Missouri and Step nephew, Seth Gibson and his wife Cailey.

He was preceded in death by a grandaughter, Alexa Holbrook and his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022 after 5:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY with the Rev. Rodney Cude, Rev. Billy Rodgers and  Brother Bryan Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.Kevil
