Mary Nell Dunn

Paducah, KY Mary Nell Dunn, age 92, went to rest with her Maker on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by her family at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY.

She was born on October 26, 1933, at Riverside Hospital in Paducah, KY to her parents, Forest and Ella Mae Gough.  She graduated from Ballard County High School in LaCenter in 1952.

In 1965 through 1970 Mary traveled the world with her husband and four children with her husband's career. She was a true Christian and a member of the LaCenter Christian Church.  She loved reading her Bible and studied Revelation until the pages were worn and faded.  Mary worked as Secretary Pro temp and County Treasurer for 16 years in Ballard County. After retiring, she found joy in fishing, reading, and cultivating beautiful flowers. Her happiest moments were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband of 72 years, Wayne Dunn; two daughters, Keena Miller of Murray, KY and Jackie Allen of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Autumn Fairfield (Shawn), Terra Bowles (Nathan), Ashley Pittman (Tyler), Nathan McGee (Amy) and Cole Miller; step granddaughter, Marla McLaughlin (Cory); twelve great grand children, two step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild.

Mary was preceded in death by a son, Terry Dunn; a daughter, Rhonda McGee and her parents.

Graveside services were held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ballard County on February 25, 2026.
