LaCenter, KY Nathaniel Heady, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was born September 12, 1937 in Grahamville, Kentucky. His parents were Bud and Angie Meriweather Heady.
Nathaniel was a member of Little Union Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 25 years of service in shipping and receiving. Nathaniel was a member of Fairview Masonic Lodge # 77. As a young man growing up he was known by his friends as "Shadow." He served in the United States Military.
As Nathaniel aged and health deteriorated, the family was truly blessed to have Caregiver, Debbie Keeton, Nurses; Pat Parrish, Tammy Castleman, Martha Woodcock and Case Worker
Keisha Cook who did an excellent job in caring for him.
He is survived by a son, Don (Alice) Heady of Lansing, Michigan; a brother Owen (O.D.) Heady of Paducah; five grandchildren, Starice Heady, Shalae Heady, Eaness Ahmad Jr. ,Dondre Heady, , and Alicea Heady; three great grandchildren, Je'Jean Davis, Don'Dreyce Heady, and Da'Moni Heady; one great great grandchild, Jaraiyah Davis.
Nathaniel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Heady; his Mother In Law, Barnell McCauley; a sister, Perlene Stone Davidson; a brother, John C. Heady and his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY 10:30 am-12:00 pm.
Graveside Services will be Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY at 12:45 pm with Rev. James Vinson officiating. Interment will follow service.
