Lexington, KY Tracy Lynn Giles, 64, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Tracy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was centered on his family. He worked diligently to provide opportunity, stability, and a strong foundation for those he loved. His steady presence, quiet strength, and dependability shaped the lives of his family in lasting ways.

He graduated from the University of Kentucky and remained a loyal supporter of UK sports throughout his life. Tracy retired after 25 years with Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky and later continued his career with Martinrea International. He valued hard work and took pride in providing for his family.

Tracy enjoyed music, traveling, hiking, and skiing, always eager to experience new places and spend time outdoors. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Order, where he formed lifelong friendships that remained important to him. An avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, he had an impressive knowledge of baseball history and statistics and loved sharing that passion with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betsy; his children, Clay Giles, Lily Giles, and Christina Stanley (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Theodore and Benjamin Stanley; his mother, Claudette Giles; sister Nicole Chandler and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Giles; his brothers, Curtis and Kenneth Giles; and his father-in-law, David Ray Browning.

Tracy will be remembered for his generosity, integrity, resilience, and sense of humor. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so deeply.

In keeping with Tracy’s spirit, guests are invited to come as they are and celebrate his life in a way that feels genuine and comfortable to them. Whether that includes a favorite cowboy hat or simply attire that reflects his warmth and authenticity, the family welcomes all to gather in remembrance and gratitude.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the Seena Magowitz Foundation, Bluegrass Care Navigators, St. Joseph East - CommonSpririt Health Foundation, or the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.
