Wanda Faye Meunier was called home to the Lord on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the comfort of her own Ragland home while surrounded by those who she loved. Wanda was empathetic, spunky and had a soft spot for animals that caused quite a few foster failures and unauthorized strays to later become pets. She was a stickler for the rules, but would only bend them if it meant easing the suffering of animals that she was certain deserved a better life. From stray cats to injured birds to feral opossums to neglected dogs, if there was a way that Wanda could help by leaving out food or making donations, she was already doing so before anyone even had the chance to ask. Wanda was an avid camper, lover of the Smoky Mountains, keen bird watcher and proudest of the family she created. The meals she made were always “delish”, especially the desserts she excelled at. She found joy in cooking and would spend all day in the kitchen without a single complaint if it meant that she would be surrounded by family by evening to enjoy the meal together.

Wanda was born in 1946 to the late Edna and John T. Rogers, both of which she favored in many ways no matter how much she denied. She was survived by her loving husband, Wayne Meunier; their daughter, Heather McKinney and son-in-law, Jamie McKinney and her grandchildren, Brandon and Breckyn McKinney. A brother, Aaron Rodgers of Chattanooga, TN.

Expressions of sympathy should be made out to Coffee Memorial Animal Clinic at 275 W Kentucky Dr., La Center, KY 42056 or Cassidy’s Cause Therapeutic Riding Academy at 6075 Clinton Rd., Paducah, KY 42001.
