Becky Yvette Thompson Thomas

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at 9:39 a.m., Becky Yvette Thomas surrendered her life to her heavenly Father’s will.  At the time of her passing, Becky was a patient at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah
.
Becky was born on April 10, 1965, to Joseph W. Thompson and Mary Bell Dodds Thompson in Paducah, Kentucky. She was a graduate of New Albany High School in Indiana and a former member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah. Her previous place of employment was at Dollar General in Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked as both a cashier and a stock clerk.
 
Becky was a people-oriented person who thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh. She was often told she missed her calling as a comedian. She was very sociable and loved being around her family. Her favorite foods included any vegetable that her mother cooked. In addition to her knack for entertaining through comedy, Becky loved to sing. Family will fondly remember her for her gift of bringing song to any situation.
 
Preceding her in death were her spouse, Gregory Thomas; her father, Joseph W. Thompson; and her maternal grandparents, Ruby and Rebecca Dodds.
 
Left behind to cherish sweet memories of Becky are Two Sons, Tyrelle L. Mays of Louisville, Kentucky, and Ar’Jon D. Thompson; Two Daughters, Armon D. Thompson and Akury Yvette Thompson; Her Mother, Mary Bell Thompson; One Brother, Joseph D. Thompson, all of Paducah, Kentucky; One Sister, Tonyia D. Dodds of Louisville, Kentucky; One Uncle, Michael (Beatrice) Thompson of Paducah, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Becky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Donna G. Hawkins officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
