Kevin Dion Sanders, age 54, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1971, in Paducah, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his sister Eugenia “Debbie” Sanders-Pea; his maternal grandparents, Bennie F. Sanders and Sarah Elizabeth Patterson-Sanders; his aunts, Odessa Savannah Fisher, Julia Mary Sanders, Shirley Connor and Yvonne Sanders.

Kevin was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Paducah Tilghman High School and graduated from Heath High School. He also attended West Kentucky Vocational and Technical College, where he studied carpentry. Kevin’s most recent position was a Life Skills Trainer at NeuroRestorative. At one time, he also did modeling work. He also worked as head of maintenance at Firm-Woods Homes.

Kevin was a longtime Little League football coach and all-around sports fan. He was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. During his school years, he played football and participated in track at both Paducah Tilghman and Heath High Schools. Kevin brought creativity into everything he did, both on and off the field. He loved artwork and enjoyed drawing. His creative spirit showed through in his coaching, leadership and everyday life.

Cleary of West Paducah, Kentucky; His Children, Ke’Airis Dion Macklin, Keenan Dion McChristian, Tyreke Karajae Winston, Kayley Marie Sawyer, Davin Reace Tatro and Makenna Jade Thomas-Sanders; His Older Brother, Eugene “Darryl” Sanders of Murfreesboro, TN; Two Aunts, Thema Elizabeth Booker of Washington, Pennsylvania and Tressie Sanders-Turner (Richard) of Redwood, Mississippi; Three Uncles, Bennie F. Sanders Jr. and Robert Lee Sanders of Redwood, Mississippi and Eddie Lee Sanders of Paducah, Kentucky; Two Nieces, Camaryn Ardenia Pea and Crystan Marie Pea and Several Cousins and Friends.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Harvey and Reverend Calvin R. Cole Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
