Lloyd Jewell Pullen

Lloyd Jewell Pullen, 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was formerly employed as a custodian at McNabb Elementary.

Jewell, as he was affectionately known, was of the Christian faith and was baptized at St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church in Paducah.

A 1976 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, he continued his education at West Kentucky Vocational School, where he earned certification in auto mechanics. Using skills he acquired for his trade, he worked on cars and trucks as a hobby that he truly enjoyed. Lloyd also loved all kinds of music, listing Snoop Dog as his favorite rapper.

Jewell enjoyed the simple things of life. He was straightforward in his approach toward others and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Pullen and Ruth Peoples Pullen, a sister, Beverly Jean Pullen, and a brother, William “Pete” McDonald.
Precious, loving memories of Lloyd are left for his Spouse, Garlina Kelley Pullen; a Sister, Carolyn Parker a Brother, Paul L. Carroll, all of Paducah, KY; one Bonus Son, Aaron J. Kelley, of Evansville, IN; two Bonus Daughters, Aaryan J. Kelley of Louisville, KY and Dyania J. Jackson of Paducah, KY; three Nephews, Chris Carruthers, Tim Carruthers, and Jamie Jones, all of Paducah, KY; and several cousins and friends including his special friends, Charles Mackey, Charles Broady, William Glore and Guy Jones.

Lloyd will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
