Myron Lawrence Massie, a life-long resident of Paducah, Kentucky, completed his life journey on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born on February 2, 1948, the son of the late Robert C. Massie, Sr. and the late Wilmaetta Lawrence. At the time of his passing, Myron had reached 78 years on earth.
Myron was a devout believer in the Lord and maintained fellowship with Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church. After high school, Myron attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He was formerly employed for several years at Lake Chem in Calvert City, Kentucky where he worked as a Payroll Clerk.
Myron was one of a kind. He was humble, trustworthy, and soft-spoken; however, he loved to tease. Because he had such a loving spirit, you couldn’t get mad at him. Although he didn’t have any biological children, he gladly accepted the “father/grandfather” role for his nieces and nephews.
His big heart and willingness to help whenever and however he could, went beyond family. One of his hobbies was restoring things. As a former member of the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club of Paducah, he used that talent to restore video machines at the Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Robert C. Massie, Jr.
Left behind to cherish sweet memories are His Wife, Patricia Robinson Massie of Paducah; Four Sisters, Donna Kay Massie Cobb of Jacksonville, Florida, Robbin Massie of Paducah, Kentucky, Thelma Jackson of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Allyson (Dr. Raymond) Wynn of Chicago, Illinois; Three Nephews, Alexander Jackson of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Bradford Wynn of Atlanta, Georgia, and Nigel Wynn of Chicago, Illinois; One Niece, Kayla Cobb of Jacksonville, Florida; an Uncle, William H. (Linda) Massie of Gary, Indiana; and Aunt, Shirley Massie of Paducah, Kentucky; Cousins, Melita Moore, Daryl Massie, Byran Massie, Dena Massie, LaDonya Horton and Thomas Massie, Jr.; Jerome Arnold, Merle A. Arnold, Jeanetta Arnold, Minister Sherron Arnold, Mildred Cagdell, and Verlaine (Richard) Lynn, a Sister-in-law, Gloria Woolen and Brother-in-law, Randolph Robinson; and a Host of Friends and Other Relatives.
Myron will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
