Patty "PJ" Jo Drew, a cherished soul and beloved matriarch, left this world on December 31, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 13, 1964, in Paducah, Kentucky, PJ graced the lives of all who knew her with her unwavering love, kindness, and joy. A proud graduate of Reidland High School, class of 1982, PJ's journey through life was marked by her devotion to family and the steadfast foundation of her Baptist faith.
She will be profoundly missed by Her Devoted Partner and Father of Their Children, Rodney Drew, Sr., of Paducah, KY, as well as Her Four Beloved Daughters: Ashley (Clayton) Baker, Whitney (Wayne Taylor) Cooper, DarShae Drew, and Karmisha Drew. PJ was equally proud of Her Son, Rodney Drew, Jr., and treasured her role as a Grandmother to Seven Vibrant Grandchildren: Jordan (Mallory Meyer) Baker, Marcus Baker, Brayden Baker, Malik Taylor, Makhi Goodwin, Karter Goodwin, and Kylan Goodwin, all of Paducah, KY, and One Great-Grandchild on the Way. The joy of being "NANNY" was truly PJ's greatest pride, and she embraced every moment spent with her family.
She is also survived by Her Two Loving Brothers, Michael (Denise) Garrett of Elizabethtown, KY, and Thomas Garrett of Paducah, KY, along with Dear Friends Who Held a Special Place In Her Heart, including Tara Patterson of Paducah, KY, Gina Lightfoot of Florida, and Demethera "Dee" Taylor and Lynn Baker, both of Paducah, KY.
Though Patty was predeceased by her parents, Earl Garrett and Beaulah Tharp Garrett, and her brother, Rickie Garrett, their memories remained alive in her heart, inspiring her selflessness and her ability to never meet a stranger. PJ was the kind of person who could light up a room with her smile and whose empathetic spirit left a lasting impression on all who came into her life.
A memorial service to honor PJ will be held on January 8, 2026, at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah, KY, beginning at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will gather for visitation starting at 12:00 PM the same day.
Patty "PJ" Jo Drew’s legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her. She touched many lives, and her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in their journeys ahead.
