PHILLIP ANTONIO HALL, a man whose life was defined by love, humility, and unwavering dedication to family, passed away on June 2, 2026, in the Vanderbilt Medical Center of Nashville, TN. Born on February 7, 1965, Phillip lived a life that touched the hearts of many, embodying qualities that will be dearly missed yet forever cherished.

Phillip was truly a family man, a devotion so profound that he "LOVED HIS WIFE, DELMA, OF WHOM HE MARRIED ON JUNE 17, 1989, IN MOUNDS, IL, UNTIL HER LAST BREATH." His love extended beyond words—he was a pillar of strength and support for those around him. Known for his gentle and humble spirit, Phillip was a man of wisdom who led by example without ever seeking acknowledgment. His quiet strength, loving nature, and respectful demeanor marked him as an all-around good person, a competitor both fiery and gentle in his pursuits. Phillip was stern with his tone; yet, never having to raise his voice.

A 1983 graduate of Carlisle County High School, Phillip was a former captain of his high school basketball team and played a pivotal role in the 1983 runner-up state basketball tournament in Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, a memorable event that featured four overtimes. His athletic prowess earned him a scholarship to Southeast Missouri College, where he continued to cultivate his talents. This legacy earned him the title of a "Known Legend" in his community. Beyond sports, he was a proud member of the New Greater Love Church, where his faith and devotion further enriched his life. He was also an ordained minister.

Phillip was presently employed with U-COR in Knoxville, TN.

Phillip served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged. His commitment to hard work transcended his military service—he was always a diligent, hardworking man who prioritized supporting his loved ones. One of his most heartfelt roles was supporting his son during his "Super Bowl" win, an achievement that brought immense pride and joy to the family.

In addition to his athletic and military accomplishments, Phillip was gifted with the art of bringing people together. He loved to grill, orchestrating barbecues and fish fries filled with fun and laughter that created lasting memories for family and friends alike. These gatherings were a testament to his joyful spirit and his desire to nourish not only the body but also the bonds of kinship.

Phillip is survived by His Son, Bryan Hall of Owings Mill, MD, and His Daughter, Christina Hall of Paducah, KY. He leaves behind His Step-Mother, Connie Hall of Bardwell, KY, and Three Sisters: Anita Hall-Ray of Paducah, KY; Nancy (Cliffton) Whitaker of Bardwell, KY; and Casandra Hall of Jackson, TN. He was also loved by His Only Surviving Uncle, Theodore (Carolyn) Martin of Kevil, KY, and Two Aunts, Eldora Stricklin of East St. Louis, IL, and Nettie B. Lott of St. Louis, MO. A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, In-Laws, and Friends carry the warmth of his memory in their hearts.

Phillip's passing also reminds us of loved ones who preceded him: his loving wife, Delma Edwards Hall, his parents, Ed Louis Bobby Hall and Shirley Ann Hall; two brothers, Nathan Hall and Dewayne Hall; one uncle, Richard Hall; and his paternal grandparents, George and Georgie Wilson and Emerson Hall. His maternal grandparents, J. D. Martin and Virginia Loving Martin, also now wait to greet him.

Phillip Antonio Hall’s legacy is one of love, humility, resilience, and profound respect for family and community. Though his voice will be missed, his spirit—marked by tenderness, wisdom, and a fierce yet gentle heart—will forever echo in the lives he touched. He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and stood as a beacon of strength and kindness to all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
