Rita D. Beasley, after having been blessed with 79 years, 8 months, and 20 days here on earth, was called to eternal rest at 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.  She was born to the late Glenn Johnson and Margaret Eanes Johnson in Satillo, TN, on January 24, 1946.

Rita attended Lincoln High School. She became a mother at a very young age and spent the rest of her life raising her family. She worked hard as a housekeeper at several hotels, TVA, and was a former cook at Hardee’s Restaurant.

Rita was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Mother of the Church and as a member of the choir until her health began to suffer.  She enjoyed selling ice cream after church to help with fundraising. Rita loved her church and was very involved in whatever was going on, especially working with the youth.

Rita was known to family and friends as a caring and nurturing person who always made herself available to all at any time and for any reason.  She was loved by her children and grandchildren, and she loved them in return.  Some of Rita’s favorite television shows were “Family Feud”, “The Price Is Right”, and her soap operas. Her favorite food was fish.

Rita leaves her family and friends to mourn her passing including: Three Daughters, Tonya Moss, Deelsa Moss, and Jessica Beasley, all of Paducah, KY, Two Sons, Thomas Moss, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY, James (Jeremy) Beasley, Jr. of Muncie, IN; Five Grandchildren, Zaneta Moss, Isaiah Knox, Zaniyah Pirtle, Elias Gary, and Joziah Gary, all of Paducah, KY; Several Great-Grandchildren; One Sister, Veretta (Johnny, Jr.) Price of Paducah; One Brother, Darryl Johnson of Tulsa, OK; One Aunt, Sue Eanes of Paducah, KY, and Special Cousins, Cozetta (Arthur) Herron of Brownsburg, IN, Sandra Hargrove, and Jerry Eanes; Childhood Friends, Gloria Leonard, Stella Jenkins, and Audrey Biles.
