Sharon Ann Hamm left this earthly life to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 6:49 p.m., from the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Calvert City, KY.  She had sojourned here in her mortal life for 78 years and 13 days.  Sharon was born the lovely daughter of the late Charles Young and Marjorie Woodson Young in Paducah, KY, on November 14, 1947.

Although Sharon visited several churches around the city, her spiritual mindfulness was centered on the King’s House.  She obtained an associate’s degree in nursing and was a certified registered nurse employed at various nursing facilities.  She was also active with the Red Hat Dolls.

Sharon was a homemaker, a great cook, and dearly loved the Lord.  Her beautiful smile, her constant pleasantness, her gentleness and loving devotion to others, led many of her acquaintances to call her "mom." When people saw her, she would be dressed to the 'max' and was known around town as a “Fashionista.”  She took great pride in dressing her boys as they grew into young men.  As a devoted wife and mother, she loved her husband, James, and her children immensely.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memories:  Six Sons, James (Lisa) Watson, Darrin (Nikki Blakemore) Cooper, and Marcus (Dorenia) Hamm, all of Paducah, KY, James (Brenda) Hamm, Jr. of Danville, IL, Shawn Hamm of Los Angeles, CA and Shamon Hamm, of Las Vegas, NV; A Host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Joann Kindle of Paducah, KY and Joyce Woodson of KY; One Brother, Robert (Lisa) Young of Paducah, KY; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hamm; a daughter, Pamela Denise Watson; her parents, Charles Young and Marjorie Woodson Young; two sisters, Barbara Jean Woodson and Mary Young; two brothers, Jerome Young and Kevin Woodson.

Sharon’s loving nature will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Pastor Fitzgerald officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
