Mr. Earl Rodgers, age 86 of Clinton passed away 9:46 am Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Clinton-Hickman County ICF Nursing Facility.  Mr. Earl married Dorothy Faye Whitlock Rodgers on February 11, 1956.  He was a member of Clinton First Assembly of God, a Kentucky Colonel, active member for 58 years of Hickman County Masonic Lodge 131 and President of Ken-Tenn Shriners Club. He was retired from General Tire and Clinton Bank where he worked as a custodian for over 40 years.  Mr. Earl also worked for over 30 years at Clinton First Baptist Church as a custodian and lawn care maintenance.  Mr. Earl was often seen around town mowing numerous yards, he loved coaching softball and baseball for his kids and grandchildren and his smile could light up a room.  He was Hickman County 2012 Citizen of the year.  He enjoyed decorating and lighting the town Christmas tree and was well known for his Christmas decorations in his own yard.  Mr. Earl claimed to be Mayor of Grubbs subdivision so much that it was literally his famous last words spoken.
 
Mr. Earl is survived by his two daughters, Penny (Sam) Speed of South Fulton, TN and Sherry (John) Hicks of Clinton; daughter in law, Lisa Rodgers of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Jones of Paducah, Stephanie (Shayne) Cox of Troy, TN, Craig (April) Glasco of Water Valley, Emily (Travis) McRae of Edmond, OK, Trevor (Haley) Hicks of Murray, KY, and Taylor (Matt) Collins of Mayfield; 10 Great Grandchildren, Brennan, Lexi, Grayson, Seth, Liam, Camden, Chloe, Isla, Parker and Rowan and 1 Great-Great Grandchild, Ryman. 
 
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Faye Whitlock Rodgers; Son, Tim Rodgers; infant daughter;  Parents, Horace and Mary Ada Thomas Rodgers; Twin Sister, Gerald Wendel and 2 Brothers, John and Billy Joe Rodgers.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Earl will be held 2 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the Clinton First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark Eddings officiating.   Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held from 3:30-7 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Clinton First Assembly of God Church and after 12 PM on Sunday. Masonic Rights will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 2:30-3 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
