Frieda Jane Templeton, age 78, left this earth on December 24, 2022, in Knoxville, TN. Her family believes she couldn’t stand another day away from the love of her life and best friend, Bob, who passed away in February 2015.

Frieda was born March 3, 1944, in Hickman, Kentucky to Cecil and Edna Williams. She was the only daughter in a home with 4 brothers, who she loved with all her heart.

Frieda was married to Bob for 50 years before he preceded her in death.  Her twin daughters (Tracey & Debbie) were her pride and joy.  Frieda chauffeured her girls and their friends to countless events including church gatherings, girl scout activities, softball games, basketball games, the roller-skating rink, and numerous other activities.  Frieda hosted countless sleepovers, making many pots of spaghetti, chili, and hot chocolate for her “kids” over the years.  Frieda loved the kids in the community as her very own.

Frieda most certainly will be remembered for her generosity, kind disposition, and heart of gold.  She routinely opened her home to those in need, including every stray animal in the neighborhood.

Frieda’s life mission was to serve others.  She served her church, her family, and her community.  Until her health condition made it impossible, Frieda was active in the life of the First Assembly of God in Clinton, Kentucky.  Frieda dearly loved her church family.  Frieda’s career with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) office allowed her to serve the farmers of Hickman County.

Frieda leaves behind her daughters, Tracey Henson (Greg), Debbie Hurt (Rob), her grandchildren (who knew her as “Gran”), Stephen Henson (MaKenzye), Kristin Omli (Tate), Katelyn Hurt, Nicholas Hurt, Conner Hurt, and Cooper Hurt.  She leaves four great grandsons, Dayton, Owen, Tripp, and Tucker.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandsons and doted on them when she could.

Frieda is also survived by one brother Brent Williams (Teresa); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws Tommie Templeton (Janie), Alice Williams, and many nephews and nieces that she also loved tremendously.

Please join us celebrating her life service on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 12 PM with Rev. Bob Risner officiating and visitation will be between 10AM and 12 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, KY. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do an act of service (Mom would have loved this!).  Love someone, feed the hungry, visit someone in need, shovel someone’s snow, visit with the elderly, rescue an animal, or do some other act of service. Most importantly she would want you to share Christ with others.

If you would like to share your act of service with the family, please feel free to post on Facebook and include #rememberingfrieda at the end of your post.
