Joe Burgdolf, 70, passed away on the morning of August 29, 2026, peacefully in his home. He was born on January 20, 1956, in Dearborn, Michigan.
Joe was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply, and there was nothing that brought him greater joy than his grandchildren. He treasured the time he spent with them and was proud of each of them. At the center of Joe’s life was the great love he shared with his wife, Kay Burgdolf. Joe and Kay recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary, marking more than three decades of marriage, memories, and a life built together. His love for Kay, his children, and his grandchildren was an important part of who he was, and the memories they shared with him will be cherished for years to come.
Joe enjoyed fishing and bowling, two pastimes that brought him a lifetime of memories and happiness. He was also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and loved cheering on the Wildcats. Whether he was spending time on the water with a fishing pole in his hand, at the bowling alley, watching a UK basketball game, or simply enjoying time with the people he loved, Joe appreciated the moments that brought family and friends together.
Joe will be remembered most for the love he had for his family, his devotion to his wife, and the many memories he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
