Mrs. Beverly (Lassiter) Gilpatrick

Mrs. Beverly (Lassiter) Gilpatrick of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 30^th, 2026, at Spring Creek Health Care and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Gilpatrick was born on May 17, 1946, in Murray, Kentucky to the late James R. “Jiggs” Lassiter and Marie (Jones) Lassiter. She retired as a Bio Technologist with Vanderbilt Hospital and was of the Protestant Faith.  Mrs. Gilpatrick earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 1969 and a master’s degree in Pathology from Vanderbilt University in 1979.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, William “Billy” Gilpatrick; and by two brothers, by Tim Lassiter and Michael Lassiter.
Survivors include one daughter, Julie Musel of Nashville, Tennessee; one son, James Backer of Littleton, Colorado; two grandchildren, Lucy Musel of Nashville, Tennessee and Addison Backer of Littleton, Colorado; aunt, Betty Lawrence of Murray, Kentucky; niece, Patricia Wyatt of Knoxville, Tennessee; nephew, Steve Lassiter and wife Leigh Ann of Nashville, Tennessee; as well as her first cousin and caregiver, Teresa Lawrence of Murray, Kentucky.
There will be no public service or visitation held.
