Mrs. Joann Marie Faihst

Mrs. Joann Marie Faihst, age 68, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
            Mrs. Faihst was born on March 29, 1958, in Springville, New York, to the late Roy J. Smith and Betty (Benz) Smith. She retired as a secretary for the Center for Accessible Living in Murray and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Castellano and Linda Gentner.
            Survivors include her husband, Michael “Mike” Faihst of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Michelle Moorehead and husband Josh of Springfield, Tennessee; two brothers, Scott Smith and wife Kelley of Bristol, Tennessee and Paul Smith and wife Tami of Pocatello, Idaho; as well as two grandchildren, Jamison Moorehead of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Jaxon Moorehead and fiancé Kenzie Glasgow of Springfield, Tennessee.
            A memorial service will be held at a later date.
