Mrs. Zenette Gray Smith Newsome

Mrs. Zenette (Gray) Smith Newsome, age 86, of Farmington, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Tri Star Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
          Mrs. Smith was born on August 15, 1939, in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late James Lee Gray and Cornelia (Patton) Gray. She retired from Smith’s Upholstery and was a member of the Farmington Church of Christ.
          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Tim Smith; second husband, Rodney Newsome; one stepson, Teddy Newsome; as well as one son-in-law, John Story.
          Survivors include five sons, Gregg Smith and wife Gina of Mayfield, Kentucky, Chett Smith of Mayfield, Kentucky, Stacey Smith and wife Pamela of Kirksey, Kentucky, Todd Smith and wife Ronnica of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Reece Smith and wife Laresa of Mayfield, Kentucky; one stepson, Barry Newsome and wife Connie of Farmington, Kentucky; two sisters, Threna Adams of Cocoa, Florida and Dana Scarbrough of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Chad Gray and wife Karen of Fairdealing, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as two great-great grandchildren.
          Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Stan Colley and Carson Barrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
