Betty Jean Baker, 95, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, born July 10, 1929 to Arvil E. and Grace (Simmons) Hyatt in New Harmony, Indiana, went to heaven to join the Lord, Monday, May 12, 2025 at Riversbend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, Kentucky.
She loved the Lord and her church family at First Baptist Church of Kuttawa, Kentucky, where she was a member.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time outdoors. Nothing made her prouder than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren in the outdoors sharing her love of nature and wildlife.
Surviving are her children: Debby Lawrence (Mike) of Paducah Kentucky, Karen Little of Carmi, Illinois and Mike Baker (Wendy) of Friendswood, Texas; her grandchildren: Christy (Tim) Churchwell, Clint (Ashley) Lawrence, Matt (Lindsey) Lawrence, Scott Baker and Hannah (Emerson) Matias; six great grandchildren: Gage Lawrence, Emersyn Lawrence, Hudson Lawrence, Ellie Lawrence, Maggie Lawrence and Ava Baker; one sister Joyce Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas; several nieces and nephews along with special friends: Vicki Gray and Peggy Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years: Don Baker; two sisters: Norma Benton and Margaret Hart.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Griffin, Indiana with burial to follow.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
