Don Cooksey, 58, of Paducah died Friday, November 1, 2013 at 9:04 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital. Don was a member of Heartland Worship Center and a member of the Faith Riders Sunday School Class. Don was retired and was the former owner of Bluegrass Honda/BMW. He had a passion for guitar music and played with a group that enjoyed going to nursing homes and assisted living homes. Don graduated from Reidland High School in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lynn Dunn Cooksey, mother, Shirley Cooke Patterson of Paducah, KY; five daughters, Jennifer Dawn Jones and husband Kevin of Marshall County, Joy Diane Cooksey of Paducah, KY, Autumn Clark of Marshall County, Jaime Stewart-Knois of Bowling Green, KY and Devon Stewart Hutton and husband Curt of Lexington, KY; one sister Olivia Morris and husband, Steve of Yorktown, TX; nine grandchildren, Addison Bloodworth, Kaylee Jones, Chloe Clark, Trandon Frost, Naikih Overfield, Dalton Knois, Aubree Knois, Ella Knois and Emmett Hutton.
Preceding in death was his father, Henry Edward Cooksey, and one brother, Douglas Wayne Cooksey.
Services will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, KY. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
