The Tigers took the first ever meeting on the gridiron between these two schools.

The Mustangs took the early lead jumping out 7-0 at the 8:08 mark in the first quarter as Maddox O’Neal found Cade Churchwell for the 1-yard score. A 27-yard field goal from Ben Davis got the Tigers on the board trailing 7-3 in the first minute of the second quarter. The Tigers would get their first touchdown and led at the 6:38 mark on a 1-yard run from Kainoa Olive. The Mustangs would answer on their next possession regained the lead on a 44-yard run from James Barragan with 4:52 remaining in the half. 

The lead changed once again as Olive punched one in from 2-yards out to put the Tigers up 17-14 with 1:49 remaining in the half. The Tigers Daven Hood would pick off a McCracken pass to give the Tigers the ball on the next possession. However, a McCracken pick six from Jaxon Shackleford on the first play for the Tigers would put the Mustangs back up 21-17 with 1:49 left in the second quarter. 

Olive would get the scoring started for Murray in the third quarter as he ran for his third touchdown of the night at the 7:41 mark to put the Tigers back up 24-21. Collin Wilson would take the ball 15-yards to start the fourth quarter to stretch the Tigers lead to 30-21. The Mustangs would answer less then one minute later as O’Neal found Cooper Falconite for the 49-yard score to pull McCracken within two with just over nine minutes left in the game.

The Mustangs would take their final lead of the game at the 3:46 mark with a 14-yard run from Barrigan to go up 35-30. The Tigers managed to keep their eventual game winning drive alive as they converted on 4th and 3 from the Mustangs 35-yard line with 57 seconds remaining in the game. The game winning score for the Tigers came with just 7 seconds left in the game as Wilson found Zavion Carman on a 15-yard pass to give Murray the win.
