Paducah Chiefs preparing for season opener Friday

Members of the Paducah Chiefs arrived Tuesday to begin preparations for the Ohio Valley League collegiate baseball season.

After meeting with general manager Greg McKeel, manager Leon Wurth and his staff, the team attended the annual Meet the Chiefs gathering at Noble Park.

The Chiefs are having workouts Wednesday and Thursday in preparation to open the season on the road Friday night at Fulton. Then they'll be at Brooks Stadium in Paducah on Saturday to host Henderson. 

The regular season will conclude on July 19 before league playoffs through the end of the month.

First pitch Friday and Saturday is at 6:30, with pregame coverage at 6:15 on 99.5 The Fan and 995thefanpaducah.com.
