Western Kentucky University announced this week that Princeton's Emma Talley Smith will join the women's golf coaching staff.

WKU head coach Adam Gary said Smith will be a volunteer assistant coach for the Hilltoppers while she continues to play professionally.

Smith made a name for herself at Caldwell County High School where she won three KHSAA high school championships. She was named the number one recruit in the nation by Golfweek in 2012.

She won the 2013 USGA Women's Amateur Championship, then went on to play for the University of Alabama where she was the SEC Freshman of the Year. In 2015 she won the NCAA Individual Championship.

Smith earned her LPGA Tour status in 2018 and remains on tour today.
