Racers' Stewart named MVC Freshman of the Week

Murray State women's basketball's Zoe Stewart has been named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league, today.

Stewart earned her first MVC honors after becoming the second leader in the points for the Racers with 13.5 points per game.

She went four for nine from range and made seven rebounds throughout the week.

Five of the rebounds came from the Racers' win over Southern Indiana.

Stewart is the first freshman to have won the MVC honors.

The Racers will be back in action for the Popeyes Battle of the Border at Austin Peay Saturday.
