Travis Perry made it official with a post on Instagram on Sunday afternoon, where he posted an edited photo of himself in a uniform from the University of Mississippi. The decision ends a couple of weeks of speculation after he threw his name into the Transfer Portal in the final hours before it closed.
Perry, the state's all-time leading scorer, spent a season at the University of Kentucky having been recruited by former coach John Calipari. Perry, who led Lyon County to a state championship, ultimately signed with new coach Mark Pope and ended up being a key part of Pope's first season after injuries to Jackson Robinson, Lamont Butler, and Kerr Kriisa.
Ole Miss Coach Chris Beard made a big push to sign Perry before he joined the Wildcats, now he gets a second chance.
