47th Superman Celebration set for June 13-15

The 47th annual Superman Celebration returns to Metropolis June 13-15, with all the usual events, including celebrity appearances.

Organizers say actor Dean Cain will return to the celebration this year. He'll appear on Saturday the 14th to meet fans and sign autographs.

Cain portrayed the Man of Steel in the ABC-TV show "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" from 1993-97.

The weekend will also feature a visit from Anais Fairweather, the voice of Supergirl in the DC Super Hero Girls animated features.

The event is also known for dozens of superfans in costumes of their favorite heroes and villains, plus memorabilia, Q & A sessions with actors, writers and comic illustrators, family activities and food.

The Superman Celebration is hosted by the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce, the City of Metropolis and the Greater Metropolis Convention & Visitors Bureau. For more information, you can visit www.supermancelebration.net  .
