BBQ on Kentucky is back Saturday to benefit the STAY Program in Paducah Public Schools.
The event is a fundraiser put on by the St. Paul Lutheran Church Men’s Club. It will happen from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church on the corner of 21st and Kentucky Avenue. The dinner, prepared by members of the Buzzard Brothers, will feature BBQ pulled pork, smoky baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, bread, beverage, and dessert. Takeout will be available.
Tickets are $15 per person, but a child 9 and under will eat free with an adult. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The STAY Program works to meet the needs of students within Paducah Public Schools who may be homeless or do not have stable housing. All the money raised from BBQ on Kentucky will go to support the program.
The St. Paul Men’s Club also collects suitcases and duffel bags to give to students in the STAY Program so they have a way to carry their belongings as they transition to alternative housing.
