Litter pickup event set for Paducah riverfront June 6

The Kentucky Waterways Alliance will soon host its annual clean-up event to remove litter from the downtown Paducah riverfront.

This year's Four Rivers Clean Sweep will happen on Saturday, June 6. Volunteers will gather at the River Discovery Center on South Water Street. Coffee and donuts will be served during check-in at 8:30, then the clean-up starts at 9 a.m.

Volunteers will pick up litter along the downtown riverfront. There will be a prize for the weirdest item found during the cleanup.

Volunteers should dress appropriately for a morning of hard work. Gloves, closed-toe shoes or boots, bright-colored clothing, and long pants are recommended for safety.
