The 13th Annual Butterfly Festival will return Saturday, September 3 to Oak Grove.
The award-winning festival will feature an interactive butterfly house provided by the Milkweed and Honey Farm, where visitors will be able to see cocoons, caterpillars, and butterflies.
In the afternoon, 1800 monarch butterflies will be released to begin their annual migration to Mexico.
The event will also feature an educational NASA-themed show, a zip-line, and other various activities.
The Butterfly Festival is free, including admission and parking.
The festival will take place from 11am-4pm at the War Memorial Walking Trail at 101 Walter Garrett Lane. The butterflies will be released at 4pm.
