After a couple of chilly mornings give us thoughts of frost, we'll hang on to mostly warmer afternoons for the rest of October, according to the National Weather Service.
Isolated areas of frost are possible again early Monday morning, with some lows in the upper 30s in low-lying or sheltered locations. Frost looks less likely in western Kentucky with lows at 40 or more.
The rest of the week settles into a stable pattern of lows in the 40s and highs in the 70s. Winds will be mostly calm and no precipitation expected.
The 8-to-14 day outlook points toward temperatures above average for the rest of October. Paducah's historical daily high for October 20 is 70 degrees, but it slips quickly to 65 by Halloween.
