A few strong to severe storms are possible on Tuesday, primarily across southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois, but could potentially continue into western Kentucky in the evening.
The window most likely for storm activity will be from 1pm til 8 pm.
The main hazards will be sporadic damaging wind gusts to 60 miles per hour along with a few tornadoes. South winds will already be gusting at 25 to 35 mph throughout the day.
Forecast rainfall totals are from 1 to 1.5 inches.
The flooding risk looks fairly low, but patches of torrential rainfall could lead to localized flooding that may cause some issues, especially in urban, low lying and poor drainage areas.
The slow-moving storms will linger into Wednesday.
