Assault on an elderly couple lands Benton man behind bars

An assault on an elderly couple in Marshall County landed a Benton man behind bars.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were summoned to Church Grove Road on Saturday after getting reports of the disturbance. During their investigation, they determined that 46-year-old Joshua Culp had gotten violent with the elderly couple at the home. Culp also reportedly threatened to kill the deputies once he was out of jail.

Culp was arrested and charged with assault, menacing, and terroristic threatening.
