Benton man arrested on Massac County warrants and drug charges after stop in Calvert City

A Benton man was arrested on warrants and drug charges Sunday in Calvert City.

Calvert City Police said that a vehicle with expired registration was stopped along US 62. Additionally, the tag belonged to a company that is out of business.

The officer reported that the driver, 56-year-old Leonard D. Miller of Benton, did not have a driver’s license or insurance. Marijuana was also located, and a computer check found the warrants issued in Massac County.

Miller was arrested on the Massac warrants and additionally charged with marijuana possession, operating on a revoked or suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, and other traffic violations.
