A Benton woman was jailed and her estranged husband hospitalized after a shooting in Noble Park on Tuesday.
Paducah police responded to the park at about 4 pm on Tuesday, where they found 81-year-old Joe S. Howard in a pickup truck with gunshot wounds to his shoulder, neck, and cheek.
Seventy-eight-year-old Barbara Howard was sitting next to the vehicle.
Detectives said Barbara admitted she had shot her estranged husband because she was tired of arguing over legal issues.
Barbara was arrested on a charge of assault - domestic violence and taken to the McCracken County jail
Joe was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment. He was reported to be in stable condition as of Wednesday morning.
