Carbondale's Bed Bath & Beyond set to close

Bed Bath & Beyond’s southern Illinois location will soon close.

According to a newly released list of stores closing in 2022, the store in the University Mall in Carbondale is one of six in Illinois designated to close.

No word on exactly when the store will close.

This will make Bed Bath & Beyond in Paducah and Clarksville the last stores in the region.

In August, the business announced it would close about 150 stores and and cut its workforce by about 20 percent.
