Carlisle Middle student makes statement about explosive device at school

A Carlisle County Middle School student is facing charges for allegedly making a statement about an explosive device in the school library.

The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office said they were notified about the statement on Tuesday by the school resource officer.

Deputies and officers with the Bardwell City Police Department responded to the school to help with student evacuations.

Deputies said no devices were found in a check of the school.
