The case of a Murray man accused of attempted murder and wanton endangerment charges is headed to a Calloway County grand jury.

The Murray Ledger and Times reported Wednesday 25-year-old Vi Jay Hill pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from a May 23rd shooting at a residence on Back Street in Murray.

Calloway District Judge Randall Hutchins found probable cause and sent the case to the grand jury.

Testimony indicated Hill and another person were both armed with 9 mm handguns and that several shots were fired in the home.  Hill was later arrested at his grandmother's residence on Beale Street.

If Hill is indicted, he is scheduled for arraignment on July 20th.
