The state of Kentucky has awarded $3.4 million in Community Development Block Grant awards to help support four community projects in the state, two of which are in western Kentucky.

According to the governor’s office, the city of Clinton will receive $850,000 to help with the construction of a new fire station.

They said Marshall County will also receive $850,000. The grant money will help renovate the county’s senior citizens center, which has been closed for the past four years.
