Collision with horse sends Mayfield man to hospital

A Saturday crash involving a horse in Graves County sent one person to a local hospital.

Deputies responded to the accident on US 45 near Hunt Road, where they said 34-year-old Joshua Grismer of Mayfield struck a horse that got loose from an auction barn.

Officials say the horse did not survive.

Grismer was taken to a Paducah hospital for treatment.
