An Earlington man was arrested for a second time in August after a traffic stop in Lyon County.

Lyon County Sheriff Brent White spotted a dump truck on KY 93 Tuesday that did not have a license plate visible on the back. White tried to stop the truck, driven by 32-year-old Maxx T. Phebus of Earlington, just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Phebus ignored the lights and directives to stop. He turned off of KY 93 onto KY 1055. Phebus eventually pulled over near an abandoned house and was arrested.

Phebus was charged with driving on a DUI-suspended license, fleeing or evading police, improper display of registration plates, and other traffic offenses. He was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said that Phebus had also been arrested in Lyon County early on August 3rd, after he was found allegedly passed out in the yard of a home with the same dump truck parked nearby.
