Early Saturday crash on I-24 injured Missouri man

A crash along I-24 in the wee hours of Saturday morning left a Missouri man injured.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just before 3:30 a.m. to the eastbound side of the interstate near the 16.8-mile marker. Investigators said that Scott Smith of Springfield, Missouri, apparently was traveling westbound when his vehicle left the roadway and crossed through the median. As the car got to the eastbound lanes, it overturned.

Smith was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
