Early Sunday traffic stop lands Mayfield woman in jail

An early Sunday morning traffic stop landed a Mayfield woman in jail on drug and other charges.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle just after 1 a.m., driven by 56-year-old Tina Stevens of Mayfield, along I-69 near the 22-mile marker. The deputy determined that Stevens was under the influence and arrested her. Deputies, assisted by a Mayfield Police K-9 and handler, searched Stevens’ vehicle and reportedly located methamphetamine, cocaine, and suboxone.

Stevens was booked on charges of possession of controlled substances in the form of cocaine, methamphetamine, and suboxone, DUI, and reckless driving. She was taken to an out-of-county jail.
