A welfare check in McCracken County resulted in the drug arrest of a Nebraska woman.

At about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, deputies were called to the Southern Pride Truck Stop to check on an individual in an SUV. They located 25-year-old Destiny L. Bloxton Shumaker of Lincoln, Nebraska with items related to narcotics in plain sight. Shumaker allegedly had a substance that tested positive for cocaine in her possession.

Shumaker was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of cocaine and marijuana, an open alcohol container in the vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence.

Shumaker was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
