Strong high pressure will keep the weekend warm and dry, but a definitive chance for rain and then cooler temperatures is in the forecast for the beginning of the week.
A rainy pattern emerges early Monday and Tuesday with cumulative average rainfall amounts generally in the 0.50 to 1.50 inch range. Locally higher and lower totals are possible.
The back half of the week dries out again, but temperatures will slip back to the mid 70s, which are the normal average high for the first half of October.
