Golconda man charged in death from an ATV crash

A Golconda man has been charged in the death of a Harrisburg woman that was the result of an ATV crash.

Illinois State Police have charged 28-year-old Trever Gallamore of Golconda with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI following the crash that happened on September 12th, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Abigail Moore of Harrisburg. ISP was called in to investigate the crash by the Pope County Sheriff’s Office.  

Investigators said an ATV driven by Gallamore ran off Waltersburg Road near Rock Road and crashed. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, while Gallamore was taken to a hospital before being arrested.

The case was presented to the Pope County State's Attorney's Office on Monday.
