A Graves County man was arrested on drug and gun charges early Saturday morning.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says that as part of a drug investigation, they served a search warrant at 4:39 am Saturday morning at a home on Jeff Davis Road.

The homeowner, 51-year-old Tony D. Evans, was said to be smoking methamphetamine when deputies entered the home.

Also, other illegal items were located inside the home, which included crystal methamphetamine, hydrocodone, electronic scales, plastic baggies, cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales, and eight guns.

One of the guns had been reported stolen out of McCracken County.

Evans is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning firearms, and he also has previous convictions for manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine.

He was arrested and taken to an out of county detention facility.
