Information sought in shooting death of Hopkinsville man

Details are still being sought after a Hopkinsville man is dead following a Wednesday afternoon shooting.

WKDZ reported Hopkinsville Police as saying 19-year-old Jordan Jones was found next to a vehicle in the roadway in the area of Walnut Street and East 12th Street with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Jones was transported to Jennie Stuart Health where he succumbed to his wound. 

The investigation is continuing into what is the first shooting death in Hopkinsville since 2024.
